Treating Your Rosacea

Rosacea Treatment

The treatment your dermatologist recommends will depend on the specific symptoms you have.

Various oral and topical medications may be prescribed to treat the bumps, pimples and redness often associated with rosacea. When appropriate, other treatments, such as laser or other surgical treatments, may be used to remove visible blood vessels, reduce extensive redness or correct disfigurement of the nose. Ocular rosacea may be treated with oral antibiotics and other therapy.

In addition to medical treatment, rosacea sufferers can manage their symptoms by identifying and avoiding lifestyle and environmental factors that trigger rosacea flare-ups.

If you think you may have rosacea, use the Symptom Trigger Journal to track your symptoms and bring it to a doctor to get started on an appropriate treatment plan for you.
